Well, I have reached 68, which is the age that my Dad was when he died suddenly of a heart attack. However, Dad was a smoker and never managed to quit, although he tried several times, and the heart attack was related to his smoking. Hopefully, I will be good for a few more years yet. I do wish that I had felt the way I do this morning last Friday, as I would have been able to make the Men's Retreat. Just have to look to the future and not look back on the past, as that cannot be changed.
In looking over what blog posts get the most attention, it looks like one area is the ship design areas and my comments with respect to that. I keep thinking about trying to put together some type of ship design system, but I have not figured one out yet. There are so many variables to deal with, along with different powering systems and construction materials. I keep thinking about simply posting some ideas and thoughts in the forum under Cepheus Engine, and see what happens. However, I suspect that the guys at Moon Toad Publishing will throw a major fit as many of my ideas and thoughts make a hash of their Vehicle Design Book. I have already gotten some fairly nasty feedback with respect to that. Against that, I figure if you cannot take some citicism, you should not be in the publishing business to begin with. I know that Gary Gygax always figured that rules were merely guidelines, not cast in concrete or written on stone tablets. Maybe I will try that and see what happens. If the moderators take it down, not much I can do about that. I will also indirectly be hitting Marc as well, as his design sequneces are not exactly good either. I will start with ships and then go on to ground and air vehicles. and not get into the High-Tech ones.
