Well, looking through some of the older threads that Guests have been looking at has been enlightening, to say the least. It would appear that I am one of the Quixotes. I am not sure how that compares to being one of Hillary's deplorables, but I suspect that it is reasonably close. The idea of "less than desirable" is definitely there, along with a touch of contempt. Having been the odd man out on a fair number of threads does fit, and the individual who coined the term is someone who I have bumped heads with, and is not one who takes disagreement with his views as acceptable.

Then there is the anti-military sentiment extending to the moderator staff that I looks like I will have to put up with. Hard to say more about that without the likelihood of getting banned. One question to be answered is it worth spending the $50 dollars to retain a blog. I do have other things that I need to pay for, most of which are of considerably more importance that maintaining a blog on this site. I could drop to the minimum, but the greater question is do I want to support the site financially at all. Marc, I know that you will be reading this, so that comment is aimed at you.

This would be the best site to publicize any stuff for Cepheus Engine/Traveller, but do I ethically continue to pay for something, or post on something, where I keep asking the question of myself: "Is it worth it?" That question who likely be incomprehensible to some members of the Forum, but then, that is the nature of Man. As I get older, the most Calvinistic I get with respect to the "depravity of Man". Other parts of Calvin I am not so sure about, but this one is one that I fully agree with. If anyone reading this does not know who Calvin is, something that I would be hard to believe except that I have been on the Forum long enough to see it, I would suggest that you look up John Calvin of Geneva or the Protestant Reformation, and educate yourself.
