Aside from asking about the issue of what volume is meant by a displacement ton, I have tossed a few other examples of errata or confusion in the rules out and so far, no response. The more I look in detail at the rules, the more questions I have about them is certain areas. Armor is one of the big issues, and how armor values seem to be tossed around with no real rhyme or reason. Then there is the issue of the take-off of a standard-configured ship. The rules say that it takes a specialized launch facility and is fairly expensive, but nowhere else is that mentioned. That would seem to work against the idea of using a "standard" ship hull configuration, as those are not going to be around at D and E-class starports as a minimum. Plus it adds to the cost of operation.

Computers have no volume requirements, which is odd, unless they are subsumed into the bridge volume, but that is not stated. Electronics do have some volume required, but not near enough wneh you think about radar antennas, and how big they are likely to be. I am not sure why "Lidar" is there, except that it sounds good. You might use lidar for tracking purposes, but not for search. It would be far too focused a beam, and it would have a problem detecting any target further away than a few kilometers. Oh, well, I will ask a few more questions, and if no answers, it will be pretty obvious to everyone that they have no answers and are not interested in coming up with any.

I will just rewrite the rules to my standards, and continue to march. The armor issue, for both personal and vehicles is starting to come into focus, but it will be two separate systems. I still have to think about Battle or Combat Armor. I am not a fan of either, from a game balance standpoint and a practical standpoint.
