Well, a few weeks ago, a friend of mine at church asked me if I would mentor his two older sons and try to pass onto them some of the things that I know. I decided that would be okay, and worked up a reading list and some topics to discuss. I plan on conducting the sessions as more of a seminar type than me lecturing. It has been going now for three weeks, and the boys father has joined in wholeheartedly as I thought that he would. We have also picked up another young man, so now we are up to four. A couple of the other guys in church are interested as well, so I am thinking that I might break down and get a small computer projector with speakers and borrow a room at the church. Note, my church is not what you would call "pacifistic" by any means.

This is one of the reasons for seriously looking at a Master's. I do like to teach, and it looks like I have found a good program to go under. The program does give credit for prior work and experience, which would help with both classes and funding.
