Blue Ghost has his fantasy rants, and I guess my rants are design sequences. I picked up several vehicle design sequences in the past week or so, and both have their problems. The biggest one of all of them is that the author are trying to use the same design sequence for ground, air, and nautical designs. That just does not work. Ground design, aerial design, and nautical design are three different areas. Ground design puts a premium on moving about. For nautical design, it has to float, wh ...More Read More

Well, my sister and brother-in-law in Wilmington, North Carolina came through the hurricane okay. The branches down in their yard was about on par with a good thunderstorm in the Midwest, but still waiting for power to come back. My brother-in-law is helping to man a shelter with over 300 evacuated persons, so for those inclined, some prayers for him would be appreciated. He is a great guy. My sister is waiting to see if she gets called in by the hospital to do some actual nursing, rather t ...More Read More

It has been a good weekend so far, albeit a bit soggy. We got to the Walworth, Wisconsin County Fair on Friday, and tried a new delectable, deep fried chocolate chip cookie dough. It turn out quite tasty, warm and gooey on the inside with a crust a bit like a Chinese spring roll on the outside. My wife decided NOT to try the deep fried dill pickles.

On Saturday, while my wife was working, I headed down to Games Plus in Mount Prospect with my son-in-law's father, who is also an avid gamer. ...More Read More

I have been going through a couple of the Army Green Books of WW2 history, and they have been referencing the general orders and policies of the American Expeditionary Force (A.E.F.) in France in World War One under Pershing. As I have that downloaded from the Center for Military History, I decided to take a look at them. This has proved to be quite interesting.

This was the first time that the U.S. had ever deployed significance military force overseas, so Pershing was basically working f ...More Read More

Well, the kidney stone surgery went well, and it looks like I will be drinking a lot of lemon juice in the future to help prevent more stones. My wife figures that if I turn into a lemon tree, she will never run out of lemons.

I found some interesting stuff on current rations the other night online, that includes the cost as of 1982. That is close enough to the Classic books that I probably can use that directly as credits. Also an interesting study on the subject that you can give soldie ...More Read More

The past two days the spammers have been flooding my email account. Yesterday was over 100, and today I was greeting with 64 when I looked at it. Now, if I could convert the email spam into real Spam, that would not be too bad. I would never run out of Spam, which I do like, plus could give a ton of it away to the food pantry. Spam and eggs is pretty good, and Spam chili works as well. I will be taking a Spam sandwich to church tonight to munch on while helping with security.

Well, I am finally up and running on DriveThru, with the clip art sampler booklet. Just have to see how this goes, as I need to get more stuff up and going in the next few weeks. There will be a lot of military gear, along with animals, hopefully a monster manual, and the Vacuum Weaponry booklet. Now that I have somewhere to put things, probably also the Plastic Protection data for the Ship's Locker, along with some other material. I need to get more work done on my Out Rime sector as well. ...More Read More

I have been working on cleaning up my "man cave" as I guess you would call it, and it is amazing what you find when you are cleaning. Aside from my DVD of Forbidden Planet, that I actually had forgotten about, I have found several books that I had lost track of. One will be of great use in working on a vehicle catalog for various types of games, and the other is one that I really can use for a client that I have picked up for clip art. The main problem is that he wants greyscale or black and ...More Read More

I am probably more than a bit of odd man out when it comes to Stephen Hawkings death. I have always viewed his as a very intelligent man when it comes to physics, and pretty much ignored his comments on other subjects. I did notice that the world did not end with his death, nor do I think that many people really are bothered by it. I do know that he is now finding out the truth that there is a God, and I suspect that he is not exactly happy with that fact.

I have often speculated that pa ...More Read More

Well, it looks like I will finally be getting my clip art business going, with a couple of good contact and one solid client. Then Marc encouraged me to get another item that I found online into shape for sale on DriveThru that would be quite suitable for Traveller and other science fiction games. Plus I need to write up plastic protection for the Ship's Locker. For that, I need to try and figure out damage and armor protection factors. I have some ideas, but it will take some tweaking.
