Last night, I made a post just before going to bed, actually I fell asleep with the computer on right after I finished the post, then woke up cold at about 3:50 AM because I was a bit cold. The temperature did drop to 4 Degree Fahrenheit this morning, that is a minus 16 Celsius. and is now 9, so a minus 13 Celsius.

I finished the post at 1:50 AM my time, and it was checked at !:54 AM my time, based on the Who Viewed this Post menu. I did check to see if any changes had been made in reputat ...More Read More

Well, I got through my daughter's birthday party without major problems, but right now, my legs and feet are not happy with the beating they have taken over the past two days, and hopefully, the ibuprofen will kick in soon.

I have a bunch of things to do tomorrow to get ready to leave on Tuesday, but I will see how many I get done. One thing that I would like to do is get all of the world date for the Sword Sub-sector off of the iPad and on my laptop, so that I can work on it while in Calif ...More Read More

Hopefully, no moderator will object to the following post.

After the roughly 9 inches of snow on Friday night/Saturday morning, I had to clear the driveway, as we are having family over later today for my daughter's birthday party. She is now 26 as of yesterday. She does share the birthday with Edgar Allen Poe, but I have not figured out how old he would be. I do like his writings.

Even with the much better snow thrower, it took quite a while, and I posted 1.2 miles in walking on my ph ...More Read More

I am giving serious consideration to deleting this blog, as I really do not like having someone looking over my shoulder to make sure that I do not violate some undefined rule, or the required "politically correct" viewpoint. I figure I will leave it a week more.

Basically, if any readers think that I should keep the blog up, kindly let me know. I might continue to use it for updates on my Piper-Norton Out Rim Sector, and maybe some other game ideas. As for personal viewpoints, that will ...More Read More

It does not look like I will have anything ready to run at Gary Con, as I am running out of time to get what I want to run put together. I was thinking of running a sea voyage to the Isle of Dread for D&D, but it looks like that might be all I can do, with nothing happening on the island, as the voyage will take up the time. I was hoping to work on ocean encounters of various types, as well as encounters with privateers and pirates as possibilities. I have some ideas for using magic at sea t ...More Read More

I had an interesting game of Australian Rails last night with a friend of mine. It is the first time I have seen someone win the game without really building a rain network in the Southeast. His network basically covered the Northern Area and West Coast, with a line running down the East Coast to pick up the major cities. Mine was basically in the Southeast, with a single line running up toe Cairns, and then I did manage to get a line to Perth. I do not normally manage that. Quite a challen ...More Read More

There are times when I wonder if I live on the same planet as some of the other members of the forum. There is the current discussion of whether or not you can go anywhere on this planet, or ship to anywhere on this planet within a couple of days, assuming that you have unlimited funds. The problem that they holders of this view do not bother to consider is that very few people or organizations on this planet have unlimited funds to spend how they want too. They also do not plug into the equ ...More Read More
