As of this morning, when I got off work. I was able to celebrate my seventh straight month of working seven days a week with no days off. Go me.

Now, I won't deny that I'm a bit burned out and see no relief in sight, but I also have to acknowledge that I've lost about 60 pounds during this time, have paid off a $4600 debt, a $980 debt, and am about to finish paying off my last college loan. I've also been able to bootstrap Studio Cat into an actual solvent small business, again go me. So it ain't all bad.

But damn, I hunger for a day off.

And now you have a nice job with reasonable conditions (even if engineers hit the emergency stop button for routine maintenance) I expect to hear more from you.

All work and no play...... Seriously though that kind of workload is not good for your health. That's why we have laws in Europe to prevent that happening (actually the law is no more than 48 hours a week but this is averaged over 17 weeks so I can still put in the odd 72 hour week) and certain breaks and rests are enshrined purely for the benefit of a workers well being. Even managerial posts are not exempt. It's a real minefield though with many employers trying to find cracks in the legislation. Still congrats on getting through the repayment and with Studio Cat.
