In Moot Member Blogs Another Project Pops Up Entry Tools Rate This Entry

Well, I have another project on the drawing board. AlexisDownPort posted a review of the latest Cepheus Engine Vehicle Design Guide, so I went back and took a look at my PDF copy. (Yes, I bought it as it always helps to know that the competition is doing.) I will admit that the illustrations are nice, and I will not make any comment on the future vehicles. What they come up with there is not really my concern. The historical stuff is a different category however. For the most part, that i ...More Read More

Well, I have reached 68, which is the age that my Dad was when he died suddenly of a heart attack. However, Dad was a smoker and never managed to quit, although he tried several times, and the heart attack was related to his smoking. Hopefully, I will be good for a few more years yet. I do wish that I had felt the way I do this morning last Friday, as I would have been able to make the Men's Retreat. Just have to look to the future and not look back on the past, as that cannot be changed.

A couple of days ago, a conservative columnist started up a series of columns about the "firearms every man had to own in order to retain his man card." Now, I strongly suspect that the said individual never bothered to think about how many men in this country do not personally own firearms, without even considering those is other countries where firearm ownership is strictly limited. Then there is the fact that, so far, his list is up to 6 and counting, which means that even more men who do ...More Read More

Tomorrow, my wife has cataract surgery in one eye at 9AM, so we have to be at the hospital at 7. An early morning for us. Hopefully, all will go well and she will have far better vision in that eye than she has had in a long time. The other eye surgery is scheduled for the Monday before Thanksgiving, so we are going to have to see how things go with one good eye, and the other still needing glasses. The opinions as to how that will go are mixed, so it boils down to every case being different ...More Read More

Well, I had hoped and planned to be in Door County, Wisconsin this weekend. I am not there, however. Yesterday morning, when it was getting time to leave, my legs were in no shape for a five hour car ride. I was just hurting too much. If I take enough medication to knock out the pain, that also knocks me out, which sort of defeats the purpose of taking the extra meds. This is quite frustrating. Out of the past three years, I have ahd to cancel out of two of them at the last minute. Unless I ...More Read More

YES, I finally have all of the images chosen for the first two books, one is another free sampler, and the other the predominately color book. Now, all I have to do is get them into the proper format and all of the descriptions written. A lot of the descriptions are in my head, it is just a matter of getting them out of my head and onto paper. That is the hard part.

I have the images for both booklets selected, and both will be in color, which should grab the eye nicely. Nor is this anyw ...More Read More

It was a quiet night at church, and I had a good game of Australian Rails with my friend who wife died suddenly. We finished about nine-thirty, and then he headed home to bed. The nights are the toughest right now, and I can understand that, having been somewhat in the same situation, but with a son instead of a wife. I actually won one for a change as well, but I had the strangest rail net that I have ever built in Aussie Rails.

Working on the books, but keep finding more stuff. I think ...More Read More

I keep thinking about posting on a more regular basis, but too much is going on in the world to settle on any one thing. Between the insanity of the Democrats, who are now going to go after churches and any group that does not support same-sex marriage, which is an oxymoron if there ever was one, to gun-grabbing, to a frame-up job from the word go on this "impeachment" investigation, that is quite a lot. That and trying to get a couple of books out when I keep coming up with more stuff as I l ...More Read More

The booklets are coming along, with plenty of color images for the one booklet, so that may be 24 or 32 pages, not sure which as yet. The Second free images book with be 16 pages, and I have way more than enough for that. Both books with come with comments on the images as before, but I do not think on the color images book I will be adding animal characteristics,, as that is going to have more than just animal images in it. What I think that I will do is give the approximate weight of the ...More Read More

I have been working on the image books, but life seems to keep slipping in and diverting me. Part of it was the missions conference at my church last week, which took precedence over pretty much everything else. I was great talking with the two pastors from the Philippines, and also the ones from South Africa. I just wish that I could visit both areas, but my physical condition is such that is not possible. That is one of my greater frustrations but it is nothing new.

I do need to figure ...More Read More
