I woke up and decided to check online as I am awake.

I figured out how to use the touch screen planet adjustment on SectorMaker. The result was two planets built fairly quickly to close to how I want them. Close enough so that any differences can be covered in the written planet description. This should speed up getting the Out Rim Sector organized by quite a bit. A few of the sectors generated in the latest effort can be used just about as it, with a few planets going away. At least tempor ...More Read More

Aside from getting tired of being attacked by some chaotic evil maniacs, who probably cannot drink legally, I am still there. The maniacs I figure that I can outwait while on vacation, and then they get bored and go inactive, and I busily raid their inactive planets. The operators are pretty smart as they keep giving everyone the free use of their Command and Staff officers as boosters to various things, figuring that you will get hooked on them and buy their services from then on.

I am going to try to consolidate all of my background posts to the Cepheus Engine forum, and see how much interest in it. It takes time and effort to post, and if no one is looking, then I will not worry about updates, and simply get the sector and game rules finished. Those might make some money.

I do need to get more clip art out, and also work more on the Fast Magic supplement stuff. Just dealing with the day-to-day things and the pain makes things a bit slow.

While sitting in the family room this morning, with my legs up and trying to ignore the pain, I was thinking about the fact that I have been retired for over 40 years now. A lot has happened over that 40 years. I discovered that I could not manage a full class load at grad school, which sort of killed the VA paying for it, and I could not afford to pay for the classes as a part-time student. We had our first son born, and then buried him 5 months later, just before we moved into the house we ...More Read More

I hate it when Aramis decides to take over a thread in My Traveller Universe. And as the super-moderator, if you do not like it, he simply bans you. No more posting about what I am doing appears to be in order.

It looks like I touch offed a reconsideration of what is on the Traveller Map and where that I did not intend. I suspect that there are now a couple of forum members with a considerable amount of antipathy for me, but such is life. If you live a life without offending someone, you are not living, and barely just existing as a vegetable.

I will simply publish the Out Rim Sector as a sector for the Cepheus Engine as modified by me, and go with that. If anyone tries to put it on the Travelle ...More Read More

A friend of mine posted on Facebook a picture of someone's child Trick or Treating. The costume was that of a police officer with a bullet in his head. If that is not sick, I am not sure what is. How bad is the sickness in our society getting if that is viewed as an acceptable Halloween costume?

I keep asking myself if destroying my health by serving in the military was really worth it. Pictures like that make me think that it was not.

Is it just me, or does anyone else on the Forum pay attention to the number of attacks that are happening on Christians overseas?

A Pakistani woman just escaped the death penalty for blasphemy against Islam because she is a Christian. How long she will continue to survive is anyone's guess. I would not place good odds on it.

Then there was an attack yesterday on the Coptic Christians in Egypt traveling to a monastery in the Sinai Peninsula. The Copts have been getting hammered in the p ...More Read More

I have been plugging away on this, and have maybe half of the planets in the 16 sub-sectors named. I am trying to name the planets first to give me an idea as to what they might be like. Some will be tip offs, and some will not be. I am going with the 4 outmost sectors, the Warlock sub-sector, and a couple of the other sub-sectors having some vary odd physics. Hint, magic might just work, and Divine Intervention might not be unheard of. Basically, Traveller/Cepheus Engine meets Fast Magic, ...More Read More

  #37 New October 30th, 2018 05:34 AM
Someone is apparently looking for information on how exactly cargo would be handled and shipped in Traveller. After my last experience on stating how something is done in my universe, I have no desire to post how it would likely be done and then have a bunch of people, most of whom do not have the foggiest idea of what they are talking about, land all over me. I have shipped cargo, and also been trained on how to ship cargo, besides studying how cargo is moved in the real world by ship.
