...being in the main a blog for Traveller, particularly for campaigns and ideas that are (or were) not set in the Third Imperium. When Traveller first came out, all we had were three little black books and our own creativity - this blog is an attempt to rediscover that sense of wonder.

So a month or two back, I asked if there had ever been any Cardboard Heroes done of Traveller starships. There are the Cardboard Heroes in the various deckplans available from SJGames, but those are of player character sorts and the like.

Everyone said, "what are you talking about??"

The original reason for this table was simple: I wanted some way of generating adventures as a solo player, and there was no table for this in the original three booklet set of Classic Traveller. (The entries for the table are taken from an article originally intended for fantasy role-playing, entitled "Instant Adventures" by Michael Kelly, which appeared in The Dragon #48). So one of the things I ended up doing this past weekend was going through a bunch of Traveller articles from White Dwarf. What a blast from the past! I found myself re-reading old adventures, trying out ideas in my head - and one name kept popping up again and again: Andy Slack. (There were others, but Andy's work was often the first word on a subject for our old game.)

Over the past month, I've generated four sub-sectors.
