Juggling Four Traveller Games, Considering More

Still have four Traveller games sorta going, at varying degrees of activity. Let's review and see what, if anything, I need to be doing to move these along:

SBRD PbP: Frontier Trader Fortunate Son adventures in Reavers' Deep toward the end of the Long Night: 3731 AD (GM: Me: SpaceBadger).

PCs are currently split into three groups:
Victor is alone inside the smugglers' port Nexus-Under, waiting for the arrival of the Rescue Team. I gave h

Quick Trip to Oklahoma

Just got back... well, actually is was about 2am yesterday, but we've been busy the whole time so... Purpose of the trip was to be there for one of our sons, Cody Moon, graduating from AIT at Fort Sill. But my wife had some places she wanted to see on the way, and my Dad's family was from that corner of Oklahoma, so we added a few sidetrips.

So my wife and youngest daughter and I packed up and left Rolla at 4:30am Monday so that we could get to OKC by 11-ish to visi ...More Read More

I Can Run!

I just discovered today that I can run. I'm pretty sure I have not run at all in over a year, since I started a medication (Lyrica) that makes it difficult for me to walk. I mostly shuffle along like someone very elderly (I am only 51), not lifting my feet much, taking very short steps. My neurologist explained it as the medication slowing the nerve signals between my brain and my legs/feet.

I can force something almost like a normal walk for about a minute at a time, but that' ...More Read More

Timerover's 1889: Key to certain posts

I am playing in a Space: 1889 play-by-post campaign run by Timerover51. This is just a place where I can put some links to certain posts that I need to reference (such as character sheets for my two PCs) to save time in digging through threads.

In-Character Campaign has started!

Character Sheets

James Laclede (American Merchant)
Jeremy Brownell (Detective(Pinkerton)/Scientist).
Joe McFinn (Cavalry Engineer)

Just changed part of my sig, and realized that I don't see any good way to save my old sig in case I want to revert sometime. So I'm making this page in my blog to save my old sigs when I change.

That's all, nothing more to see here.

SBRD Campaign: Player Status:

Still waiting for several new characters:
1. Thanos is taking over existing NPC Bruno Kansakarrir, so I believe is ready to proceed;
2. Timerover51 is making a non-Human character, so has a bit more complicated task finishing him and making him fit in;
3. Vladicka is making an interesting new Human character with some connections that may lead into future adventures, but only started on him this past weekend prior to Christmas.

Continuing players:
1. Eria ...More Read More

Merry Christmas from Mother Russia (NTW)

How appropriate, I am at Late December 1805 in my Napoleon Total War Russia campaign, and the wolves are howling outside in the snow - OK, they're really just coyotes, but right now I can just picture them chasing a sleigh through a snowy forest.

Late December 1805

Just about ready to start gobbling up the Ottoman Empire (see, I restrained myself and didn't even compare it to a Christmas turkey - oh, wait...), all I need to do now is recruit ano ...More Read More

I've never played Russia in this game, but my understanding was that they get a fairly long opportunity to stay out of combat, build their economy, build forces for specific tasks. One intention (because I have seen the Russians doing this when I was playing other nations) is to build and send out as many merchants as I can, as early as I can, to grab some trade ports which are fairly well protected by my allies, who cannot take them away from me without breaking our alliance.
