Task system is derived from DGP-CT, but adding three difficulty levels (trivial, staggering, and absurd), plus adding an explicit Auto level.

My FLGS has asked me to run Feng Shui for Free RPG day.
And I'm looking at it, and noticing that it's task mechanics are Traveller-compatible.
It's 1d6-1d6, (both dice open ending upwards), with boxcars (⚅⚅) being roll again but it's exceptional success/failure, then add that to a skill. Skills run between 7 (unskilled) and 18 (elite)... They call the 1d6-1d6 open-ended "swerve" in the same way that T5 uses "Flux" for 1d6-1d6 closed ended.
Systems - Several sectors are being cribbed from Traveller sources.
The Imperium is a Human dominated evil empire - not quite star wars level, but evil for far longer. Centuries. Anagathics and Vilani genetics combine to put emperors on the throne for multiple centuries.
MegaTraveller characters. Expanded somewhat with house rules. Done, not published nor publishable. (exceeds FUP for quoth material)
Combat system: MT rebuild from the ground up.
Striker Pens, damage = CT dice, margin is "points per die"
Life/Hits as per MT.

On another score: A GPS is like the Force - it guides your actions, obeys your commands, can be used to figur out where you're supposed to go, and can be really powerful when used against the weak minded...
some percentage abstraction - ships over 1000Td ignoring the 10 crew per 1000Td bizarre minimum, which can only exist to make freighters impossible above 1000Td...

I've been running the old WEG d6 Star Wars lately. I've been none too easy on my players; and 2 of the 3 have been spending more Character points on ship improvement and roll boosts than on their characters... So the climb has been slow and steady.
