Simply put it's a good hobby. Coming here allows me to indulge in that hobby, and in a sense reminds me of a happier time in my life when I was gaming with my friends and that sensation of wonder as you discovered the world.
Remember when you first drove yourself to a place you couldn't get to without having to take the bus or rely on your parents or a friend who could drive? Remember when you got your first VHS or Betamax video recorder, and you taped some show or movie that you might hav

Dragons are cool. Mythical flying reptiles that stream fire from some organ that mixed incendiary ingredients, and like a biological flame thrower, incinerate enemies; knights, peasants and other dragons. At least that's the European version, and often associated with either an intelligent or semi-intelligent reptilian intellect.
If I understand correctly the Chinese Dragon is all about good will and luck, a real economic boom to the village it visits.
I think it was either the History Channel or a National Geographic production that introduced me to the class of paranoids known as "preppers". People who had either read too many Axel Foley books, played too many Fallout games, or watched too many Mad Max films, take the post-apoc fantasy to heart, and turn a portion of their home (or all of it) into a bunker.
Ho-hum.
On YouTube type, when I queried him, stated that one of the big issues with prepper types is the possibility of a massiv

When I built my desk top over a year ago, and installed Win10, I opted out of all of the demographic stuff. Ergo it's more the reason why I've gotten ads for all kinds of demographics; minorities, females, children.
… oops
So, my hats off to the British Royals, Rotita, Cosmo and Glamour, and even the WWF (I guess they call themselves the WWE these days).
Anyways, I guess the yokes on me. I wonder what it's like building a desktop in the 3I. What is the google equivalent in th

I've been in Cessnas, DC-10s, a good number of 727s and 737s, and one 747, and in all that flying only twice did I encounter two people who were apprehensive about flying.
One was an old lady sitting next to me during a snowy cold winter take off, where the pilot actually skidded the plane as he rounded the turn to the strip to take off. He literally skidded the plane into the take off position, but never stopped. I guess you could say he skidded into the runway and never looked back. The

Apparently all my complaining, griping, and tweaking my feed settings has left me a normal news feed. Which is strange, because Yahoo used to give normal news on my splash page, but then again I haven't visited my Yahoo page regularly in a few years. So, maybe I got spoiled with Yahoo, then took Win10 and Google personally when I built my new desk top.
When I built my XP rig, and Yahoo and AT&T had merged, I got a really cool splash page with Yahoo music, which was essentially an endless s

Well, even though I've tweaked my news feed settings, sure enough, after looking at some article about some army guy trying to find peace by hiking in the hills, I scroll down and suddenly it's more royals, kids and female life style click bait stuff. Whatever.
Apparently Win10 and Google are convinced that I'm a mother who's infatuated with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Whatever.
The main news' feed appears to be fixed. Though for some reason I'm getting crime news from across the n

So, on top of my having to edit what topics I want to see via my MS News feed, Win10 apparently tracks everything I type and links it to topics it's programmed to gather based upon what I'm saying here, on YouTube comments, and pretty much everyplace I leave an opinion.
Meaning in one of my last log entries I made a comment about Disney, and how I thought Disney was a decent company. And within a day I'm getting news pieces and ads about Disney. I scoped out vids on model trains, and sudde

So, the other day Win10 Edge finally put up some more news' options. Apparently all of the female oriented tabs were checked; news about "the Royals", "life style", "parenting and childhood", health and home-economics kind of stuff …
You know … I distinctly REMEMBER checking things like World News or US News, finance, politics, and I think sports. And the other stuff I was able to "uncheck" was (were?) never offered as options for news feeds.
I have nothing against Prince Harry or Megh

Star Trek III, the Search for Spock. Opening day. I see it after school with a fellow Trekkie. Some time later FASA puts out their miniatures for their ST RPG, and another friend gets the Excelsior mini from the movie. My fellow Trekkie looks at the secondary hull, sees the bulb form factor, points to it, and says "that must be the trans warp drive" … *face palm*.
Okay, we were high school students, and HS age types are prone to making a lot of assumptions, but even to the non Trek fan
