Ah, kicking back in the old home with my feet on the desk, looking out at blue skies as the sun reflected the lagoon water into my old office with a gentle breeze. It puts a smile on my face.

The only thing better than a tall cool glass of Chocolate Milk, is a tall glass of iced cold pressed Apple Juice. Maybe some chips maybe a slice of pizza or something on the side, and just vegging out as the clouds moved by.

That's when I just blanked out and enjoyed the day, or some really rocking concepts would come to mind, and I would jot them down in a handy spiral notebook. You can't ever have too many spiral notebooks And I said so to the lady friend at the time.

Which reminds me, I've got to add more about portals and black holes, and see about getting some maps done.

The last couple of nights have been pretty warm. The kind of hot night that makes you want to douse yourself in cold water and sleep with the window open which is kind of what I did

What a great time to be alive. Sort of. As regular readers know I've got my gripes with the world. I like Douglas Adams' quote; "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

Well, bad move or not, we're here, and we have to deal with life. And you know what? That house was drafty. I don't know why. And as a single an living in a three bedroom house, it was a chore to clean. And I had neighbors from a Midwest trailer park down the street who thought that his kids with a garage band and letting his 14 year old son ride a Harley Davidson up and down our one car lane, was a good idea. And thanks to my and one of other neighbors, we led a charge to get the land lord to clamp down on them, or to boot them. What a fight that was. But now I don't have to worry about that anymore.

I sure do miss my little black Vargr unit. But I never want another one as long as I live, even to inspire me to generate a Vargr character. Feed it, take it to the vet to get shots, groom it, bathe it, clean up after it for nearly 20 years because the fake mother unit kept feeding it breakfast Seriously, that really pissed me off, and I surmise what the Eff was happening until the last couple of years.

I miss the house smelling like pine Instead I got that flowery South American thing outside the office window. Grr.

The computer is still getting some female popups, but it's not as bad as before. Oh well.

I still wish I could visit the Third Imperium in a scout ship with say a J2 drive or something.

I've got a lot of ideas in my journals that I need to transcribe onto my desk top. I can start that either tonight or tomorrow. A lot of them aren't OTU concepts, but sort of generic ATU concepts. The kind of stuff I wanted to write before the 3I became the official Grayhawk-verse for Traveller. Honestly, that's what I wanted to do, and I may throw up a couple pretty soon.

I sure do wish I could have a large plate of "mom's" spaghetti. Oh that was good stuff. She got her sauce recipe from my real biological mother; some fine wine, spices, herbs and the like. With some ground up meat that had been degreased. Oh that was delicious stuff. I wonder if they have mom's spaghetti in the Third Imperium

Good times and good food in that house in spite of the fluctuation of neighbors and a few tempers flaring. I still wish I had another western facing waterfront home.

Still, the skies are really blue here. I mean it. I've never seen such a high nitrogen content. I think a lot of that is because on the bay front we used to get ocean and bay mists combined with natural fog coming every so often. But boy, was it cold. No wonder I spent so much time indoors with games, reading and what not. Not wintery kind of cold, nor even your bone chilling east coast kind of cold, but that kind of annoying cold that sneaks in through the gaps between your jacket cuff and your gloves. Your body is warm, but pieces of you are cold, and so you ride as fast as you can to get back home.

I've discovered turkey burgers and jumbo sized soy-based hot dogs. The turkey burgers are delicious. The soy dogs are okay. I think they need something to spice them up. Maybe I'll brew a can or two of chili the next time I make some. Chili soy dogs

Would you believe the local 7-11 doesn't have slurpees? What the heck? I may have to email corporate.

I should flush out the water heater, and hose out the garage.

Ayup. A tall glass of apple juice on the rocks. That's what it's all about.

Dim the lights. Prepare to jump. One. Two. Three. JUMP!
